What is Cruising Really Like
What is Cruising Like?
This is a great first question, and it is the first blog item that we will cover!
There are lots of different ways to cruise. There are party cruises, sleepy cruises, theme cruises, foreign language cruises, exotic cruises, high end cruises, the list is endless. We couldn’t possibly cover all of the types of cruises, so we want to focus in a bit. We are nearing retirement, and the party cruises just don’t appeal to us now. There are many many people who just love these types of cruises, so lets will leave these types of cruises to their blogs. We have done 27 cruises while we have been working, including 4 Disney cruises with our kids, (We are contemplating Disney with Grandkids - but that’s another blog post.) 4 Royal Caribbean cruises with extended family, 4 Holland America Cruises, and 15 Celebrity Cruiseline Cruises.
We have Cruised in all areas of the Carribean, many areas in Europe, Scandanavia as far east as Cyprus, as far north as Iceland, as far south as Trinidad, and as far west as Hawaii. We have been on 18 different cruise ships, and enjoyed ports as popular as Barcelona, or Fort Lauderdale, and as remote as Gibraltar or the Faroe Islands.
So - to us, cruising is a both a means to get to from port to port, and the ships are most often destinations in their own right. Multiple dining venues, multiple entertainment venues, beautiful spaces to gather and meet other cruisers if you like. Spa’s, pools, hot tubs, adult only areas, kid friendly areas, and they generally run like well oiled machines. The staff on the cruise ships are a hard working crew, who keep the ship working well, looking great, and look after you food and entertainment and well being needs.
Cruising is what you want to do. Want to read a few books at the pool while you are cruising. Want to read in one of the ships indoor public areas, no problem. Want to concentrate on specialty dining, you can do that. Want to play trivia, and games with the other cruisers? You can do that too. Of all the cruises we have done, no two have been the same.

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
